Kansas City Royals Partner With ProWire To Deliver Real-Time Audio At Kauffman Stadium Via MLB Ballpark App

The Kansas City Royals have partnered with ProWire, an in-venue broadcast service that delivers ultra-low latency audio to fans’ phones via cellular and venue Wi-Fi networks. Royals fans can access the service for free starting Friday, July 25th, when the Royals return to Kauffman Stadium for a six-game homestand.

Fans can listen to the live, delay-free Royals radio game broadcast on their personal devices using the MLB Ballpark App while at Kauffman Stadium featuring real-time commentary from legendary Hall of Fame Royals radio broadcaster Denny Matthews, Steve Stewart and Jake Eisenberg.

The service is powered by ProWire EDGE, ProWire’s cloud-based, turn-key solution for connected stadiums. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Royals to bring real-time radio broadcasts to fans at Kauffman Stadium,” said James Sumner, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at ProWire. “ProWire EDGE allowed us to deploy a solution for the Royals quickly, making it a compelling solution for MLB venues looking to add real-time broadcasts to the fan experience using stadium cellular and fan-facing WiFi.”
